Welcome to Aves Labs’ online catalog of products. Our broad selection of neural markers and epitope tag antibodies are ideal for performing Western Blots, ELISAs, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry(IHC) or Immunocytochemistry(ICC). Plus, these chicken antibodies (IgY) can be used in tandem with your existing mouse and rabbit antibodies for double immunostaining procedures.

Neuronal Cell Markers

Visit our catalog of neuronal cell markers and glial cell markers.  All of these chicken IgY antibodies have been validated for use in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) against the human, mouse and rat gene products.  These neural marker antibodies selectively recognize neuronal cells, glial and/or Schwann cells, as well as neural stem cells.

Glial and Schwann Cell Markers

We also make a variety of non-neuronal cell markers. Some of these markers recognize astrocytes (GFAP, vimentin), others recognize oligodendrocytes and central myelin (MBP, CNPase, PLP), others recognize microglial cells (Integrin alpha-M or CD11b, coronin 1a), and still others recognize Schwann cells and peripheral myelin (Po, MBP, PLP). All of these chicken IgY antibodies have been validated for use in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) against the human, mouse and rat gene products.

Secondary Antibodies

Visit our catalog of secondary antibodies (goat anti-chicken IgY or chicken anti-mammalian IgG) labeled with fluorescein , HRP or biotin.  In addition, we can produce bulk custom tagging of these antibodies with other markers.  Our secondary antibodies do not cross-react, facilitating double immunostaining applications.

Epitope Tag, 6XHIS, Beta-Gal and GFP Antibodies

Our chicken anti-GFP antibodies, anti- Beta-Gal, anti-6XHIS and anti-epitope tag  antibodies (HA, DYKDDDDK, and c-myc) immunoreagents allow you to use your existing mouse and rabbit antibodies in double immunostaining applications.

Immunoprecipitation Reagents (IP)

Our agarose-based immunoprecipitation (IP) reagents can be used to selectively bring down chicken IgY antibodies (bound with antigen) or HA-tagged recombinant proteins.

Blocking Reagent

Our fish serum-based blocking reagent- BlokHen® is designed for use with chicken IgY antibodies, and can be used in Western Blotting, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Immunocytochemistry (ICC), or ELISA applications.
